Наиболее продаваемыми крупнопанельными ТВ в январе 2007 были 32-дюймовые ЖК-модели с разрешением WXGA (HD). Рост продаж указанных моделей составил 23% в месяц, а средняя их цена снизилась на 8%, приблизившись к отметке $900.<br /><br />Общее снижение цен, как полагают аналитики, является результатом смещения производителями акцента на младшие модели сегмента. Так, например цены на 37-дюймовые модели упали на целых 33% в течение января 2007 года, однако последнее было в большой степени связано с агрессивным высвобождением, путем предоставления больших скидок, начавших было накапливаться запасов на складах производителей.<br /><br />В целом за, рассматриваемый период, продаваемость ЖК ТВ была примерно в в два раза больше, чем их плазменных аналогов, что является наилучшим показателем за всю историю соперничества двух технологий. Из 20 наиболее продаваемых моделей 14 обладали ЖК-экраном. Среди производителей первое место по количеству проданных ТВ с диагональю более 30 дюймов удерживает японская компания Sony, буквально по пятам преследуемая корейской Samsung Electronics. Наиболее продаваемой моделью января месяца стала 50-дюймовая Panasonic TH-50PX600U, цена на которую упала на 7,5% по сравнению с ее декабрьской ценой.
