Компания Compro Technology, известный производитель мультимедийных продуктов, представила на суд общественности разработку — внешний тюнер VideoMate V300, поддерживающий мониторы с разрешением до 1680х1050 и 1600х1200. Кроме приема телепередач, тюнер позволяет подключение аналоговых источников видеосигнала, как стандартного (480i/480p), так и высокого (до 1080i) разрешения. Конструкция тюнера позволяет подключать его напрямую к монитору — для его работы компьютер не требуется, соответственно, пользователю не понадобится установка никаких драйверов и программного обеспечения.

VideoMate V300 может работать с жидкокристаллическими и электронно-лучевыми мониторами диагональю от 15” до 22”, включая как стандартные модели с соотношением сторон 4:3 и 5:4, так и широкоэкранные устройства с соотношением сторон 16:9 и 16:10. Кроме традиционных мониторов, к тюнеру можно подключать плазменные панели, и проекционные устройства.

Новинка может похвастаться наличием эксклюзивной технологии OptiMode, автоматически оптимизирующей параметры цветопередачи под телевидение, кино и игры, предоставляя пользователю возможность запомнить собственные настройки и вызывать их при подключении нестандартного источника сигнала. Функция OptiRatio позволяет подстраивать масштабирование изображения, выбирая между режимами 4:3, 16:9, панорамным, полноэкранным, а также SmartZoom, особенно полезным при просмотре широкоэкранных фильмов, транслируемых по телевещательным каналам.
