Диски Blu-ray продаются в несколько раз лучше, чем HD-DVDПо данным агентства Nielsen Videoscan, в январе Blu-ray сильно потеснил HD-DVD в войне форматов. В первую неделю января на каждые проданные 100 дисков Blu-ray приходилось 47 HD-DVD, а уже на следующей неделе это соотношение изменилось до 100:38 в пользу Blu-ray.
Эти показатели вдвойне примечательны в связи с тем, что сразу после запуска продажи HD-DVD превосходили Blu-ray в соотношении 100:85 – к сожалению, абсолютные цифры не сообщаются. Очевидно, что стратегия Sony по продвижению «голубого луча» с помощью PS3 начинает работать.
