Инженеры компании Toshiba решили немного обновить модельный ряд ноутбуков Qosmio/dynabook, состоящий из 7 моделей/15 версий, парочкой достаточно прогрессивных нововведений. Во-первых, это будет установка на каждую модель операционной системы Windows Vista, официальный релиз которой состоится уже в ближайшие 2 недели. Во-вторых, стало известно, что ноутбуки Toshiba Qosmio G30/97A оснастят приводами HD DVD-R.

Стоит отметить, что Qosmio G30/97A позволит вскоре записывать до 15 Гб HDTV-информации среди других форматов на оптические диски формата HD DVD-R. Специалисты компании утверждают, что со временем будет представлена программа-обновление, позволяющая увеличить максимально возможный записываемый объем данных до 30 Гб. Другие технические характеристики также впечатляют. Это 17-дюймовый WUXGA-дисплей, имеющий разрешение 1920 x 1200 точек, мобильный процессор Intel Core 2 Duo T7200, 1-битовый цифровой усилитель и канал HDMI. В дополнение к этому Qosmio G30/97A будут комплектоваться графическими адаптерами NVIDIA.
