Использование в качестве подсветки светодиодов (LED) позволило производителю добиться впечатляющих технических характеристик. Согласно источнику, динамическая контрастность новой ТВ-панели будет достигать 1000000:1, а максимальное разрешение составит 1920 на 1080 пикселей. Отметим, что 1000000:1 это именно динамическая, а не привычная нам "обычная" контрастность.<br /><br />Как видим, применение светодиодов при разработке телевизионных панелей позволяет получать довольно высокие показатели контрастности. Напомним, что недавно компанией Texas Instruments был разработан проекционный DLP-телевизор с контрастностью 100000:1. В качестве подсветки там также использовались светодиоды. Надо полагать, немалую роль в будущем продуктов на LED-диодах сыграет недавнее открытие ученых, о котором мы сообщали две недели назад.<br /><br />Помимо телевизоров со светодиодной подсветкой, в апреле LG.Philips LCD также планирует представить 52" жидкокристаллический Full HD-телевизор. Контрастность этой панели будет составлять 5000:1, яркость - 500 нит, насыщенность цвета - 72% и время отклика 5 мс.
