Acer всерьёз нацелилась на рынок ЖК-телевизоров

В ответ на быстрый рост мирового рынка жидкокристаллических телевизоров, Acer внесла коррективы в свою рыночную стратегию и планирует уже в текущем году выйти на уровень объёма производства в миллион штук в год. С таким заявлением выступил Скотт Лин (Scott Lin), президент тайваньского подразделения Acer.

Помимо этого Acer ограничит число стратегически важных регионов, на которых будет сфокусирована маркетинговая активность, до десяти. Это Тайвань, Малайзия, Таиланд, Австралия, Канада, США, Италия, Германия, Франция и Великобритания.
Компания произвела около 400 тысяч жидкокристаллических телевизоров в течение 2006 года, 80%-85% которых предназначались для европейского рынка. И если рынку ПК понадобилось около 20 лет, чтобы выйти на уровень в 100 миллионов единиц, ЖК-телевизоры достигнут аналогичного уровня за 5-6 лет, уверен г-н Лин.

Кроме того, Acer произвела в 2006 году 10 миллионов ноутбуков и порядка 10 миллионов ЖК-мониторов. С таким уровнем производства компания может претендовать на серьёзную рыночную долю TFT-панелей, особенно в сегменте жидкокристаллических телевизионных устройств, подчеркнул руководитель Acer. С учётом того, что спрос на ЖК-телевизоры на Тайване в 2007 году ожидается на уровне 600 тысяч штук, Acer планирует захватить 5% этого рынка.
