Всего за $1200 компания планировала продавать устройство, которое проигрывает оба формата; учитывая цену в $800-1000 за приличный плеер для одного из форматов, предложение выглядело заманчивым. <br /><br />Однако, в реальности не всё оказалось так красиво, как в пресс-релизе. Если с воспроизведением формата Blu-ray у BH100 проблем не возникает, то на HD DVD дисках устройство не воспринимает интерактивные меню iHD. Interactive High Definition (iHD) может включать в себя доступ к дополнительным материалам, функцию "картинка-в-картинке", закладки, обновления и т.д. <br /><br />Из-за отсутствия поддержки iHD плеер BH100 формально не имеет право называться HD DVD-плеером, подчеркнули члены группы DVD Forum. Более того, LG грозит судебный иск, связанный с незаконным использованием логотипа HD DVD устройством, по сути, не поддерживающим данного стандарта. <br /><br />Представитель подразделения Microsoft по стандарту HD DVD также заявил, что никто из LG с ними не контактировал для уточнения деталей, связанных с применением данной технологии. В итоге помпезный анонс на CES 2007 может закончиться тем, что плеер никогда не выйдет на рынок.
