Maxell выпустила Blu-ray диски объемом 50 Гб

Компания Maxell представила четыре вида Blu-ray дисков. Линейка "голубых" носителей включает одно- и двухслойные диски с одноразовой и многократной записью. Однослойные BD-R диски записывают данные со скоростью 2х и вмещают 25 Гб, а двухслойные (BD-R DL) - 50 Гб, при аналогичной скорости.

Перезаписываемые диски BD-RE и BD-RE DL имеют такие же характеристики, что и "младшие собратья". Вся Blu-ray продукция Maxwell появиться в продаже появится в первой половине 2007 года, и, как заявляют в компании, будет совместима со всеми существующими BD-приводами.

Стоимость носителей нового поколения будет объявлена в конце января. К примеру, однослойные HD DVD-R диски Maxwell объемом 15 Гб стоят $15. Судя по всему, в 2007 приводы Blu-ray и HD DVD наконец-то начнут пользоваться спросом.
