Компания Silicon Image объявила о дополнении линейки HDMI-трансмиттеров новой микросхемой VastLane SiI9034. Разработка примечательная тем, что поддерживает передачу звука в формате Super Audio CD. VastLane SiI9034 принадлежит к классу трансмиттеров HDMI версии 1.2 и входит в обширное семейство контроллеров, предназначенных для применения в домашней электронике, например, в проигрывателях и рекордерах DVD, HD DVD и Blu-ray, телевизионных кабельных или спутниковых цифровых ресиверах.<br /><br />Линейку HDMI-контроллеров VastLane от Silicon Image открывает бюджетная микросхема SiI9002. Флагманским решением является высокопроизводительный чип SiI1934, совместимый с HDMI версии 1.3 и обладающий технологией Deep Color для повышения глубины цвета с 24 до 48 бит (30, 36 и 48 бит по RGB или YCbCr). Новый контроллер VastLane SiI9034 принадлежит к среднему классу и призван заменить нынешний хит SiI9030. Главное, что отличает SiI9034 от предшественника - возможность справиться с передачей звукового цифрового потока в формате Super Audio CD. Это должно подтолкнуть к внедрению мультимедийного интерфейса HDMI в сферу SACD-устройств. Объединяет SiI9030 и SiI9034 способность работы с HD-видеопотоком с разрешением 1080p (1920 x 1080) и звуком в формате DVD-Audio.<br /><br />Примечательно также то, что SiI9034 по выводам совместим с более дорогим и функциональным контроллером SiI9134. Это должно облегчить и удешевить производителям потребительской электроники переход с HDMI версии 1.2 на 1.3.<br /><br />Компания Silicon Image сообщает, что пробные партии микросхем VastLane SiI9034 уже подготовлены. Массовое производство запланировано на начало текущего месяца.
