Компания Sony объявила о выпуске нового компактного проектора VPL-VW50 класса Full HD. Новинка впитала всё самое лучшее от своего предшественника VPL-VW100, в том числе технологию SXRD, испытанную на профессиональных кинопроекторах и 55- и 70-дюймовых проекционных телевизорах. Sony VPL-VW50 обладает великолепной для своего класса контрастностью до 15000:1, практически бесшумной системой охлаждения и оборудован двумя мультимедийными интерфейсами HDMI для подключения HD-устройств.

Проектор Sony VPL-VW50 предназначен для использования дома или в офисе и ориентирован на широкую аудиторию. Принадлежность к классу Full HD и поддержка разрешения 1080p предполагает полную совместимость с проигрывателями оптических дисков нового поколения Blu-ray или HD DVD, а также с выходным сигналом консоли PlayStation 3. По замыслу Sony, проектор VPL-VW50 должен справиться с любыми возложенными на него задачами в составе домашнего кинотеатра или центра развлечений.

Благодаря технологии SXRD (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display), VPL-VW50 выделяется в ряду других проекторов. Она подразумевает три отдельные микрозеркальные панели с разрешением 1920 x 1080 пикселей, размером пикселей 7 мкм и расстоянием между ними 0,35 мкм. Такой размер и шаг пикселей позволяет избавиться от эффекта "межпиксельной сетки". Малое время отклика 2,5 мс гарантирует верное воспроизведение быстро движущихся объектов при просмотре фильмов и спортивных трансляций.


Пользователь VPL-VW50 вправе выбрать настройку контрастности вручную или в автоматическом режиме с динамической реакцией диафрагмы на демонстрируемые видеофрагменты. Данная функция носит название Advanced Iris 2.

Инженеры Sony применили в VPL-VW50 лампу ультравысокого давления (Ultra High Pressure, UHP) мощностью 200 Вт, которую отличает большая интенсивность излучения в красной части спектра. Подобные лампы лучше справляются с корректным воспроизведением баланса белого. За регулировку воспроизведения цвета на отдельных участках изображения отвечает функция Real Colour Processing.

В VPL-VW50 используется оптический блок All Range Crisp Focus (ARC-F), который обеспечивает высокую точность фокусировки на различных расстояниях. Наряду с достойными оптическими характеристиками он обладает вариообъективом 1,8x. Это позволяет при диагонали экрана 100 дюймов устанавливать проектор на дистанции от 3 до 5,5 м. Моторизованная система смещения объектива по вертикали делает VPL-VW50 универсальным и удобным при эксплуатации.

Проектор Sony VPL-VW50 должен поступить в продажу в текущем месяце. Его ориентировочная стоимость составит $5600.
