На проходящей в Японии технологической выставке Ceatec некоторые производители объявили, большинству пользователей удовольствия от просмотра высококачественного HD-видео на домашнем компьютере получить не удастся, будь у них HD-DVD или Blu-Ray привод.    Так, представители компании Nero AG сказали, что при проигрывании фильма один из самых быстрых процессоров Intel Pentium D 3,2ГГц был загружен на 70%, а фильмы, например, с очень высоким битрейтом (около 30 Мбит/сек) нынешние компьютеры вообще не вытянут.
