Компания ViewSonic объявила о выпуске нового портативного DPL-проектора фронтальной проекции стоимостью до 1000$ для  использования в домашних условиях или офисе. По этой причине был выпущен официальный пресс-релиз. По мнению производителя, новый мультимедийный проектор PJ558D должен удовлетворить запросы большинства пользователей. Благодаря высокому качеству изображения и широкому спектру возможностей новинка может стать оптимальным инструментом для просмотра различных изображений, презентаций PowerPoint, видеороликов или кино.

Новый микрозеркальный аппарат от ViewSonic способен обеспечить вывод изображения с отличной фокусировкой в стандартном и  широкоформатном режиме. Он имеет достаточную  яркость 2500 люмен и контрастность 2000:1. Разрешающая способность устройства - 1024x768 точек. Радует спектр поддерживаемых видеоформатов: NTSC, PAL, SECAM, HDTV (480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i). Для вывода звука предусмотрен динамик с усилителем мощностью 2 Вт. Имеется богатый набор разъемов, в том числе компонентные и композитные видеоинтерфейсы. Габариты устройства - 264x203x96,5 мм, масса - 2,5 кг.    
Запуск и настройка проектора PJ558D должны произойти быстро и без особых затруднений для пользователя. Для коррекции изображения и оптимизации качества имеется набор необходимых настроек. Система вентиляции устройства отличается относительно низким уровнем шума. В тихом режиме уровень шума не превышает 32 дБ. Для ресурса лампы производитель называет цифру 3000 часов. Во время просмотра контроль над новым проектором можно вести дистанционно. Для этого необходим фирменный адаптер для беспроводного управления ViewSonic WPG-100 WPG-100 Wireless G Gateway. 
ViewSonic PJ558D будет доступен через дилерские каналы компании по цене 999$. Покупатель получает трехлетнюю гарантию с круглосуточной технической поддержкой. Производителем также дается  гарантия на лампу в течении одного года.
