NVIDIA в ближайшее время планирует выпустить несколько новых видеокарт, очевидно, в ответ на последние анонсы ATI сразу в трёх основных ценовых сегментах – high-end (Radeon X1950 XTX), mainstream (X1650 Pro) и low-end (X1300 XT). Для нижнего ценового диапазона NVIDIA приготовила видеокарту GeForce 7500 GT, основанную, по всей видимости, на ядре G73 с пониженными относительно 7600 GS частотами. Конвейерная формула этой видеокарты - 12/5, что соответсвует линейке ATI radeon X1600. <br />Средний и верхний ценовой диапазон будут штурмовать видеокарты GeForce 7900 GS и GeForce 7950 GT, основаные на чипе G71 (конвейерная формула 24/8) с изменёнными частотами. Прямыми их конкурентами должны стать 3D-акселераторы канадской компании ATI, основанные на ядре RV570. Если о видеокарте GeForce 7900 GS пока практически ничего не известно (кроме, разумеется, пониженных относительно 7900 GT частот - 450/600 МГц) то GeForce 7950 GT может стать потенциальным хитом продаж. Частоты GeForce 7950 GT составят 550 МГц для ядра и 700 МГц для памяти, что поднимает планку производительности карты почти до уровня 7900 GTX (частоты 600/900 МГц соответственно). Система охлаждения, правда, не претерпит изменений по сравнению с 7900 GT (частоты 460/660 МГц). <br /><br />GeForce 7950 GT будет также обладать выходом dual-link DVI и HDTV, поддержкой стандарта HDCP, 512 MB DDR3-видеопамяти и стоить всего около &#36;300. В тесте FurureMark 3DMark2006 нам обещают 4687 "попугая", что на 180 больше грядущего решения на базе RV570 от ATI. Для сравнения, 7900 GS по слухам получит 3536 очков.  Запуск  линейки GeForce 7950 GT в продажу запланирован на 14 сентября этого года, а 7900 GS появится ещё раньше - в самом конце августа. Учитывая, что широкую доступность новых карт в продаже ATI обещает также не раньше середины сентября, раунд сроков можно считать ничейным. Единственное, что всерьёз может помешать NVIDIA одержать безоговорочную победу – это цена, которая у продукта ATI может оказаться несколько ниже.
