Ещё несколько недель назад поклонники новых технологий начали сетовать на то, что компания Sony перенесла дату выхода своего первого Blu-ray плеера BDP-S1 до августа 2006 года. Однако сегодня, если верить сайту SonyStyle, им придётся расстроиться ещё больше: выход устройства на рынок перенесли на 25 октября 2006 года.

Причины подобного переноса видятся возбуждённой публике практически на каждом углу. Кто-то считает, что просто на страницах SonyStyle задержка с поставками, кто-то наоборот намекает на проблемы с комплектующими у Sony, а кто-то вообще винит отсутствие нормального ассортимента нормальных фильмов на новом носителе. Так или иначе, теперь BDP-S1 задерживается, а HD DVD тем временем продолжает завоёвывать всё новые просторы.
