Похоже, в преддверии Чемпионата мира по футболу, производители телевизоров решили завалить потенциальных покупателей анонсами новых моделей. Вот и Sony представила сразу пять новых ТВ тыловой проекции в серии Grand WEGA. Все они поддерживают высокое разрешение и используют технологию SXRD (Silicon X-tal (Crystal) Reflective Display).<br />В линейке SXRD XBR анонсированы две новинки: 60-дюймовый KDS-R60XBR2 и 70-дюймовый KDS-R70XBR2. В них используются 0,61-дюймовые SXRD-матрицы (по одной на каждый из основных цветов) с реальным разрешением 1920 X 1080 пикселей. Обработка видео производится с помощью технологий Sony WEGA Engine HD и DRC-MFv2.5 (Digital Reality Creation Multi Function). Для этих ТВ производителем обещан уровень контрастности 10 000:1.<br />KDS-R60XBR2 и KDS-R70XBR2 оснащены разъёмом CableCARD, двумя HDMI-интерфейсами и VGA-входом. Акустические колонки размещены по бокам, у старшей модели они съёмные. Эти ТВ поступят в продажу в начале осени по цене 5300 долларов за KDS-R60XBR2 и 7800 долларов — за KDS-R70XBR2.<br />Ещё три модели, KDS-50A2000, KDS-55A2000 и KDS-60A2000 (линейка A2000), отличаются отсутствием поддержки CableCARD, меньшим набором функций и нижним расположением динамиков. Зато купить их можно будет уже летом. Цена KDS-50A2000 составит 3500 долларов, KDS-55A2000 — 4000 долларов, а KDS-60A2000 — 4500 долларов.
