По информации западного новостного сайта engadget.com, ноутбуке AR11S с 17-дюймовым экраном должен появиться в продаже в Британии уже в середине июня. <br />Как сообщается, «начинка» AR11S будет примерно такой: 2-гигагерцовый процессор Intel Core Duo, два винчестера общей ёмкостью 200 Гб, встроенный ТВ-тюнер, WUXGA-экран с разрешением 1920х1080 пикселей, видеоадаптер NVIDIA GeForce Go GT 7600 с 256 Мб памяти «на борту» и сразу двумя выходами S-Video. Что касается поддержки беспроводных коммуникаций, то будут в наличии оба популярных ныне интерфейса – Wi-Fi и Bluetooth. На этом, пожалуй, преимущества ноутбука заканчиваются и начинаются недостатки. Главные из них выражаются в том, что новинка будет весить более 3,8 кг и стоить в пересчете на американскую валюту не менее $3700. В качестве операционной системы в новом Blu-ray-совместимом VAIO будет использоваться Windows XP Media Center Edition. Будем надеяться, что все эти слухи окажутся правдой, и в середине июня в магазинах действительно появится этот «навороченный» мобильный компьютер от Sony.
